Government Goods and Services Procurement PaDi UMKM Marketplace
What
is the PaDi UMKM marketplace? PaDi UMKM or Digital Market for Micro, Small and
Medium Enterprises is a digital platform initiated by the Ministry of BUMN, and
synergizes with BUMN, the Ministry of UMKM and also the Government Goods and
Services Procurement Policy Agency. The PaDi UMKM platform was officially
launched on August 17, 2020 to coincide with the 75th Indonesian Independence
Day celebration. The UMKM Digital Market was formed with the aim of opening
wider market access for UMKM for the procurement of government goods and
services, especially BUMN.
BUMN
Goods and Services Procurement is indeed one of the important factors to
optimize and also encourage the performance of BUMN as one of the most
important economic milestones in Indonesia. In addition, Indonesia also has a
lot of small and medium class entrepreneurs or what we commonly know as UMKM
(Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises). Sometimes they do not have broad market
access, so the performance of UMKM is not optimal. UMKM themselves also play an
important role in Indonesia's economy. Therefore, these two factors are the
meeting point why UMKM and BUMN can collaborate to advance the Indonesian
economy.
The
birth of technology and its utilization in this digital era can certainly support
growth in the UMKM sector. Of course, the program to improve and strengthen the
people's economy has always been the most important program of the government
from time to time. There are several things needed by the government to improve
and strengthen the people's economy. One of them is valid data related to UMKM
profiles and mapping of people's businesses. Therefore, a platform is needed
that can be a strong basis for providing valid data.
The
brilliant idea that emerged for a digital platform was marked by the birth of
the UMKM Digital Market which is tasked with providing various kinds of
government procurement needs, especially BUMN. Through PaDi UMKM, the Ministry
of BUMN provides a great opportunity and wide space for UMKM players to become suppliers
and vendors of BUMN. In addition, the PaDi UMKM platform will be useful as a
means of monitoring the procurement of goods and services of BUMN to UMKM. In
addition, the use of spending costs for goods and services from each BUMN
becomes more detailed and safer. This is because all BUMN goods and services
procurement transaction processes are carried out online and all
financing/payments are made with non-cash transactions.
This
UMKM Digital Market has a list of trusted and verified UMKM from all over
Indonesia, and will continue to invite other trusted UMKM to join PaDi UMKM.
PaDi UMKM offers a wide variety of procurement of goods/products and services
from a list of trusted UMKM. As of now, there are 8 main product/good and
service categories offered by PaDi UMKM, as follows;
